DESCRIPTION

The college counseling team will host Compass Education Group for a virtual presentation on college admission testing.  Please join other students and families for a timely, thoughtful, and pragmatic discussion that will span the following topics and more:

  • The evolving role of test scores in specific contexts
  • Making sense of the subtlety and variety of testing policies
  • Fresh admissions data from test score submitters and non-submitters
  • Making an informed choice between the ACT and SAT
  • The diagnostic value of the PSAT and other practice tests
  • Optimal timing and smart approaches to test preparation and testing

ABOUT THE SPEAKER

Sue is a frequent guest speaker on the topic of college admission testing and gives presentations at several Bay Area schools each year. She graduated from Brown University with a B.A. in Modern Culture and Media and now serves as the Director of Recruiting and Staff Development for Compass in Northern California. Before her role overseeing the hiring and training of Compass tutors, Sue worked with hundreds of Bay Area families as a Compass Program Director who provided customized guidance to families.

Proctored Practice Tests

We offer in-person and online live-proctored practice exams every weekend. We also offer computer-based (digital) practice ACT, PSAT, and SAT exams which can be scheduled on-demand. The scores will be available within two business days and are a valuable planning tool for families, counselors, and Compass directors.
