YULA Girls Testing Programs

PRESENTED BY COMPASS EDUCATION GROUP

Welcome Class of 2019 and 2020!

Compass Education Group is a leading provider of tutoring for college admission tests. YULA has partnered with Compass to offer a number of helpful resources to families.

On Thursday, December 28th, parents and students are asked to attend an on-campus presentation by Managing Director, Sara Dalhed, to learn more about the landscape of college admission testing, build personalized testing timelines, and understand how test preparation works.

In 2018, students are invited to participate in a test prep course targeting the May 2018 SAT test date.

Navigating College Admission Tests

On 12/28, Compass Managing Director, Sara Dalhed, delivered a presentation to families on the ins and outs of college admission testing. Families who missed the event can download the handouts from this page and are welcome to contact Compass for an individual consultation and guidance. Major topics covered in the presentation included interpretation of PSAT and ACT practice test scores, how to carefully consider the SAT vs ACT decision, the role of Subject Tests, and best practices for calendaring test dates and test prep.

Test Prep Class

Compass Education Group has partnered with YULA Girls to provide a comprehensive SAT prep class for the Class of 2019. The class will feature 18 hours of small group instruction and 2 full-length practice tests hosted at YULA Girls on Sunday mornings. The class will be taught by two of Compass’ most experienced Math and Verbal tutors.

    EVALUATION
    Efficient and successful test prep relies on accurate diagnoses. Our practice tests provide a detailed portrait of your testing strengths and weaknesses, allowing us to make recommendations and adjustments tailored to your personal needs.

    After a thorough assessment of testing data, background, needs, and goals, we develop an individualized plan. Because we do not offer “packages” of lessons, we have the flexibility to craft personalized programs of study that take these nuances into account.

    We hold all our instructors to the same high standards, but that doesn’t mean they’re all the same. Your schedule, your learning style, even your outside interests – we consider all these factors in selecting the best instructor for you.
