Frequently Asked Questions:
The truth is that score improvements vary widely and depend on several factors:
- What is the student’s starting or baseline score?
- What level of math has a student completed prior to the class?
- Does the student attend all instructional sessions and complete all homework assignments and practice test sessions?
For a typical student starting in the 1000-1200 range on the SAT or 20-25 Composite on the ACT, we expect to see 100-200 points of SAT improvement or the equivalent of 3-6 points on the ACT scale.
Students with accommodations will be able to complete their practice tests within extended time sessions. Compass provides proctored sessions for students 50% and 100% extended time. Please speak with your instructor or our testing coordinator to share your needs.
Students are only able to attend the class section they are registered for. However, classes are recorded and are available to all registered students for viewing and instructors can be contacted during office hours to answer questions.
Practice tests can be self-administered at any time. We also have a flexible schedule of online proctoring sessions for make-up options.
Yes, we have some limited scholarship funds available. Most often, requests for aid come from our partner institutions and/or teachers who nominate a deserving student. Our ability to offer aid is also tied to the enrollment numbers for a particular section. Please contact us at email@example.com for more information if you qualify for financial aid.
