Digital PSAT Practice Test (Demo)
Compass Testing Center
Piloted through our partnerships with hundreds of leading high schools around the nation, practice tests for the new digital SAT are now available to individual students. Tests are self-administered and score reports are released the same day. Students will get a feel for the new test format including:
- New question formats
- Shorter reading passages
- Updated timing
- Digital interface mimics the real test

Frequently Asked Questions
How many students per class?
Maximum course size is 15 students as this allows group tutoring with an individual focus. Because we offer so many different time slots, days, and classes, actual class sizes can be much smaller.
What's your course refund policy?
We understand that sometimes things happen! We will issue you a complete refund up to 48 hours in advance of the first instructional session. Please note: You are responsible for returning your class materials to us. Class refunds are contingent upon the return of all previously mailed materials.
Do you register us for the official exam?
No, registration for the official PSAT is handled through your school. We encourage students to reach out to their counselor or another school contact with any questions about official PSAT administration.
What kind of score improvement can we expect to see from this class?
The truth is that score improvements vary widely and depend on several factors:
- What is the student’s starting or baseline score?
- What level of math has a student completed prior to the class?
- Does the student attend all instructional sessions and complete all homework assignments and practice test sessions?
For a typical student starting in the 1000-1200 range on the SAT or 20-25 Composite on the ACT, we expect to see 100-200 points of SAT improvement or the equivalent of 3-6 points on the ACT scale.
How do the practice test sessions work for students with accommodations?
Students with accommodations will be able to complete their practice tests within extended time sessions. Practice tests will be taken through our Online Testing Center, and students will be given the option to confirm or change their accommodations before beginning each test.
If I have a conflict for one of my courses, can I attend a different section?
Students are only able to attend the class section they are registered for. However, classes are recorded and are available to all registered students for viewing and instructors can be contacted during office hours to answer questions.
If the section that I want to attend is full, will there be a waitlist?
Yes, please fill out this Form or contact us at classes@compassprep.com. We’ll alert you if and when space becomes available or another section is opened for enrollment.
Do you offer financial aid for prep courses?
Yes, we have some limited scholarship funds available. Most often, requests for aid come from our partner institutions and/or teachers who nominate a deserving student. Our ability to offer aid is also tied to the enrollment numbers for a particular section. Please contact us at classes@compassprep.com for more information if you qualify for financial aid.
