Navigating a Rapidly-Evolving Testing Landscape

A WEBINAR FOR LAGUNA BLANCA SCHOOL FAMILIES

DATE & TIME

Wednesday, October 9th, at 6:00pm PDT (2024)

A recording of the presentation has been posted below.

DESCRIPTION

In 2024, prominent schools made headlines for reinstating SAT/ACT requirements. Brown, Caltech, Cornell, Dartmouth, Harvard, Stanford, and Yale joined Georgetown and MIT on a list of popular private institutions that are ending their temporary test optional allowances.

The consensus is that this trend will continue, especially at highly competitive colleges, although it’s also believed that hundreds of other colleges will remain test optional indefinitely.

Hear from the experts at Compass Education Group as they lead a thoughtful and pragmatic discussion about navigating the current testing landscape.

Presentation topics will include:

  • College Admissions and the Modern Testing Dilemma
  • Latest Developments in SAT/ACT Digital Transitions
  • Choosing Wisely Between Tests and Formats
  • Crafting A Personalized Testing and Prep Timeline
  • When To Submit Scores in a Test-Optional Era
  • Test Prep Strategies: Cost, Format, Schedule, and Realistic Goals
