Private one-on-one PSAT tutoring helps students familiarize themselves with the test format, question types, and content, leading to more confidence and higher scores on the PSAT.
The PSAT provides an important practice opportunity for 10th and 11th graders. And when taken in the fall of junior year, the PSAT serves as the qualifying test for the National Merit Scholarship Program, which recognizes and rewards high-achieving high school students through a multi-stage competition. Compass has detailed description of how the NMSP works and the latest information on state and national qualifying scores (“cut-offs”)
The PSAT shares the same length and format as the SAT but is slightly easier, providing 10th and 11th graders with a low-stakes opportunity to experience the SAT. PSAT scores are not reported to colleges. Compass tutors are well trained to help students maximize their points by helping them review content areas and become strategic in their time use. PSAT tutoring provides a strong foundation for SAT preparation.
Compass has developed advanced technology to support our excellent instruction in the form of digital adaptive practice tests and online homework. Our tutoring is data-driven and student-centered. PSAT Practice Testing For Schools
Through partnerships with hundreds of leading high schools around the nation, Compass has provided thousands of students with the very best diagnostic experience available. Our digital adaptive practice test mirrors the format of the official PSAT.
The PSAT/NMSQT takes 2 hours and 14 minutes and consists of 2 sections: (1) a Reading & Writing Section, and (2) the Math Section. Most of the questions are multiple choice, though some math questions ask you to write in the answer rather than select it.
