ABOUT THE SPEAKERS

Eric Anderson (he/him)
Senior Director Compass Midwest
Eric grew up in Chicagoland and graduated Phi Beta Kappa from U of I, where he was a Rhodes Scholarship campus nominee and captain of the nationally-ranked Illini Handball team. After college, he worked for the Discovery Channel, MTV Networks, Sony Pictures, and YouTube. Between film gigs, Eric joined Compass’s Southern California team as an ACT and SAT math tutor. He enjoyed the rigor and effectiveness of the one-on-one tutoring experience so much that he made it his mission to bring Compass back to the Midwest. In 2019, Eric and his colleague, Matty Steiner, launched Compass Midwest out of Chicago.

Practice Test Opportunities

Compass is proud to offer high-quality digital practice test opportunities at no cost for a limited time for families who attend an event hosted by their school. The accuracy of the tests and the depth of the reporting is exceptional.

Tests available include the digital adaptive SAT (learn more here), as well as a digital version of the ACT (see demo here). The ACT test is the classic format: the science test is required and included in the Composite score. It also mirrors the paper/pencil test.

ACCESS, REPORTING, AND FOLLOW-UP

  • To access the tests through your Compass account, please go to my.compassprep.com and enter your email address. You will receive an email to activate your account. Click the link in that email and follow the instructions.
  • Upon completion of the test, you will immediately be able to view a comprehensive analysis full of insights unique to our reporting platform, as well as access to view your entire test.
  • Schedule a free, no obligation consultation with a Compass Director to evaluate the results, have all your questions answered, and discuss a recommended plan for improvement.
  • For alternative options including live proctoring where available, please see here.

Please note that your school may have arranged specific practice testing opportunities at a set time through Compass or another third party. We advise that you prioritize any such opportunities through your school first, keeping these options available if needed.
