ABOUT THE SPEAKER

Matty is a Senior Director at Compass Education Group, a provider of test preparation and tutoring that works with thousands of students nationwide. Prior to joining Compass, Matty obtained their MA from the University of Chicago and a BA from UC Santa Cruz. They have over fifteen years of experience in the testing industry and are regularly invited by counseling and admission professionals to explain the latest updates to the testing landscape. Each year, Matty and their colleagues speak at over 300 high schools and professional organizations, including the Association of College Counselors at Independent Schools and the National Association for College Admission Counseling.

Practice Test Opportunities

Compass is proud to offer high-quality digital practice test opportunities at no cost for a limited time for families who attend an event hosted by their school. The accuracy of the tests and the depth of the reporting is exceptional.

Tests available include the digital adaptive PSAT and SAT (learn more here), as well as a digital version of the ACT (see demo here). The ACT test is the classic format: the science test is required and included in the Composite score. It also mirrors the paper/pencil test.

ACCESS, REPORTING, AND FOLLOW-UP

  • To access the tests through your Compass account, please go to my.compassprep.com and enter your email address. You will receive an email to activate your account. Click the link in that email and follow the instructions.
  • Upon completion of the test, you will immediately be able to view a comprehensive analysis full of insights unique to our reporting platform, as well as access to view your entire test.
  • Schedule a free, no obligation consultation with a Compass Director to evaluate the results, have all your questions answered, and discuss a recommended plan for improvement.
  • For alternative options including live proctoring where available, please see here.

Please note that your school may have arranged specific practice testing opportunities at a set time through Compass or another third party. We advise that you prioritize any such opportunities through your school first, keeping these options available if needed.
