Master the all-new digital SAT

Starting in March 2024 in the US, the class of 2025 will only be able to take the new digital SAT. The new version of the test will cover new content and question types in an adaptive digital format that means it will be entirely unique to each student.

Compass classes combine our seasoned instructors, curriculum perfected over 30 years, and technology that keeps students empowered, informed, and on-track.

Nothing makes us happier than helping our students reach their goals.

The tutoring and testing plan developed by Compass resulted in my son increasing his SAT score 190 points from his PSAT. Not only was this crucial in his college application/admission process where he received direct admission to prestigious programs like the Kelley School at Indiana University, but it resulted in him getting scholarships at every school he was admitted to.

Dan G.Parent of Tyler, 12th Grader at San Marino High School

I deeply appreciate the passion for teaching and kind patience that both of my instructors demonstrated throughout the sessions. Each teacher was engaging and attentive.

Alanu U.11th Grader at Dwight Global Online School

The course was exactly what we were hoping for. Our instructors were enthusiastic, friendly, and always open to questions.

Parent of an 11th GraderNewbury Park High School

Our daughter took the SAT with no tutoring or practice beforehand and scored a 1290. After tutoring with Compass, she improved her score by 190 points. Compass' expertise and helpful, patient and knowledgeable staff were absolutely key to not only the significant improvement in her score, but also her subsequent acceptance to a top Ivy League college. We are over the moon thrilled with Compass and would highly recommend their services to anyone!

Jenny A.Mother of Alex, 12th Grader at Harvard-Westlake

We are so pleased with our experience with Compass. The tutors are very professional, always on time and really helped our daughter. The results were even better than we had hoped for.

Frequently Asked Questions:

What kind of score improvement can we expect to see from this class?

The truth is that score improvements vary widely and depend on several factors:

  1. What is the student’s starting or baseline score?
  2. What level of math has a student completed prior to the class?
  3. Does the student attend all instructional sessions and complete all homework assignments and practice test sessions?

For a typical student starting in the 1000-1200 range on the SAT or 20-25 Composite on the ACT, we expect to see 100-200 points of SAT improvement or the equivalent of 3-6 points on the ACT scale.

How do the practice test sessions work for students with accommodations?

Students with accommodations will be able to complete their practice tests within extended time sessions. Compass provides proctored sessions for students 50% and 100% extended time. Please speak with your instructor or our testing coordinator to share your needs.

If I have a conflict for one of my classes, can I attend a different section?

Students are only able to attend the class section they are registered for. However, classes are recorded and are available to all registered students for viewing and instructors can be contacted during office hours to answer questions.

What if I can’t make a proctored practice test session?

Practice tests can be self-administered at any time. We also have a flexible schedule of online proctoring sessions for make-up options.

If the section that I want to attend is full, will there be a waitlist?

Yes, please fill out this form or contact us at We’ll alert you if and when space becomes available or another section is opened for enrollment.

Do you offer financial aid?

Yes, we have some limited scholarship funds available. Most often, requests for aid come from our partner institutions and/or teachers who nominate a deserving student. Our ability to offer aid is also tied to the enrollment numbers for a particular section. Please contact us at for more information if you qualify for financial aid.
